This kind of working trip works for me. I just do not like seeing politicians going out of the country “looking” for work, this makes sense to go up to the auto show and talk to those powers about bring work to Ohio

I believe eye to eye contact is a good thing. The more contact with Company Officers will show that you care and are serious about business in Ohio

Now and then we have to spend money to make money..

I think you are doing a great job for Ohio. We will put many Ohioans to work with the commitment from these auto companies. We lost the Issue 2 battle, not because you were wrong, but because those voting against it (especially the educators) are unrealistic with their benefits.

    Dear John.

I wish Gov. Kasich would have gotten into the race for President. The way it is going, Obama may just ease into the office for another disastrous 4 years, which will give Gov. Kasich 4 more years to turn the great State of Ohio into a winning state. More jobs, keeping jobs, balanced budget, less crime, family man, strong willed and a strong leader that has thick skin! Keep it up Gov. Kasich and you will gain new supporters everyday. Soon, we will be calling you Mr. President in 4 yrs!

    Gov Kasich,

Really appreciate you staying after employment opportunities in Ohio. Keep up the good work.

I was glad to listen to your message and know that you are attending the Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. Great news that we have Chrysler, Honda, Ford, and Chevrolet plants in Ohio. We need to do all that we can to bring manufacturing jobs back to Ohio! We certainly have many “deserted and empty” factory sites in
    Dayton, Ohio. Way to Go!!

I’ve been working for the last 13 months as a temp. Admin. I have no benefits, no vacation pay, no tuition reimb., no retirement and an hourly wage of 7 years ago. I’m thinking if this is the way corp Am is going to operate then the temp agencies need to to be investigated. How is it people who are working directly for the temp agencies get above mentioned benefits but the ones working on assignments get nothing? I have to say I’m re-thinking my stance on unions.

Can the state offer any individual tax incentives if a car is manufactured or assembled in Ohio?
Another option would be to highlight where there are natural gas refueling stations in Ohio and explain whether that fuel option is good for the state?

Gov. Kasich, can’t compliment you enough on the job you have been doing for the great State of Ohio! You’re constant updates on what you and your administration are doing is a bold contrast from the past. Admittedly you have attracted controversy and backlash from those who have exploited the generosity of their ‘protected’ status (i.e., government and teachers unions), but hopefully good things will prevail for the citizenry in the end. Times are hard and more than likely going to test our collective efforts to endure and survive in a changing world. THank you for putting us on the right path!

  24. Harold January 13, 2012 at 8:47 am #

What are you doing for our military, past and present?

What are you doing for Ohioan’s that have lost thier homes, because of job loss and economy?

    Think about that.

    Thank You,

  25. Al Smith January 13, 2012 at 10:56 am #

You are doing a good job. It proves to work hard until the job is done.

My coment is general in nature and not ment to be critiquecal. As a member of Toast Masters Int I can’t help but notice you used the filler word ah 13 times in your one minute , seven second, speech. Your message would come acrossed much better if you were able to deliver your thoughts more clearly.
There are TM clubs all over the US as well as most other countrys, you should check one out. Man famous people have found them useful.

My son has worked for car parts producers for many years. Its a lot bigger business than I ever thought in Ohio. Even with his many years of experience in this business, it was not easy to find work, after more schooling, in this business. We can use more of this type industry in Ohio and this effort by the Govenor is very important Good luck to the Govenor and to Ohio.
