Deadline: Tomorrow

First, let me thank you for getting our campaign off to a great start. I've received thousands of emails, phone calls, texts and Tweets from friends like you supporting our movement. It's been very encouraging.

But tomorrow, my campaign will face its first real challenge - our first financial deadline. The money we've raised by June 30 will be the first public indicator of the strength of our support. That's why I need your help right now.

Please make a special June 30 deadline gift of $25 or more to help me run a strong campaign for Governor and replace Ted Strickland. While Governor Strickland finds it easy to dismiss today's bad news as the result of a sour national economic climate, the sad truth is that he has a horrendous record of leadership.

Rather than working to make Ohio one of America's most competitive, business-friendly states, Governor Strickland has taken our state in the wrong direction.  Ohio has lost almost 300,000 jobs since he has been elected. If ever there was a time for bold, new, innovative ideas in Columbus that time is now - and I am determined to get elected and initiate them.
