John Kasich and Mary Taylor applaud Ohio’s sportsmen for their stewardship of our state’s abundant wildlife and their work to help conserve our beautiful natural resources. Hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors are important parts of Ohio’s culture, as well as its economy.
Supporting Ohio’s sportsmen starts with protecting Second Amendment rights. Ted Strickland goes out of his way to offend gun owners by deliberately selecting lieutenant governor candidates who are openly hostile to the Second Amendment. Lee Fisher was a board member of Handguns Control, Inc., and Yvette McGee Brown has publicly voiced her anti-Second Amendment views.
John and Mary are united in their strong support for the right to bear arms. As a member of Congress, John received three "A" level NRA ratings, was endorsed by the NRA three times and received campaign contributions from the NRA six times. In the legislature Mary earned an NRA "A" rating and enjoys trap shooting with her family. Instead of trying to take guns away from people, John Kasich and Mary Taylor believe government should focus on demanding more personal responsibility and holding criminals responsible for their actions.
