Times-Reporter: Lt. Gov. Visits Eastern Ohio Business, Talks Job Creation

Lt. Governor Mary Taylor was recently in Tuscarawas recently to visit a local business and discuss how they’re working to expand and create jobs. The Times Reporter has more:

Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor has been on a three-year tour of Ohio businesses, and Thursday, she stopped for a visit at Dover Hydraulics.

“I wanted to tour the facility and see what they do,” Taylor told members of the news media afterward at the facility at 2996 Progress St.

This is the second time in the past six months that the Republican official has been in Tuscarawas County. In December, she toured Gradall Industries in New Philadelphia.

On her visits, Taylor said, she asks corporate officials what issues they face and what concerns they have. “I’ve been asking businesses, what are the challenges? What should we focus on in Columbus?”

She said the highlight of the tour was learning what Dover Hydraulics does. The company, which has been in operation since 1982, repairs hydraulic equipment.
